Yoga path: an example in a daily life

I am in touch with many yogi who practices just asana and they don’t take the full benefit. Some of them asked me, how can we practice Yoga daily?

I was in Favignana island few days ago and i was climbing up a short hill to the castle. While in this experience I want to answer to this question that a friend of mine asked me. How do I practice yoga everyday?

Well let’s get this easy and will be connected to my other posts that I explained before.

Let’s imagine that you look at certain peak (samadhi or whatever is your goal). You can choose between two things: in action (karma Yoga) or not in action. If you decide to don’t take action, you will get desire to go but you won’t. So the desire will be always with you and can get you to miss your freedom. If you decide to go up hike, well your journey starts!

The will to go up will lead you to surrender (read first verse of Yoga Sutra) to the top of the mountain. Because of this decision you already practicing Nyama

Ashtanga indicate 8 limbs of Yoga, you can always put them on practice.

Deciding to hike up to that peak is for some people easy but for some can be hard. You can choose rather to hike up for yourself and not to show what you are doing. If you will do the first one, you will already practicing Yama and Pratyahara.

The way to go up would probably be hard and you must listen to your inner self. Because of this, you will listen to your Prana and get the right concentration (Dharana).

Once you will be up on that peak, you will see the path that you have done. It probably will make you feel better but It won’t be your arriving point. This peak represent the goal of Yoga.doesn’t matter the goal, al matters is the path and how you face it.

So probably doing Asana is easy for plenty of flexible people, practice Yoga and take the benefit is bigger than you think but it’s easier than you think. To don’t sacere the people, I always talk about Yoga lifestyle and not Philosophy.

Take Yoga as lifestyle, whatever you do, try to implement the 8 limbs of Ashtanga. How? Read more and deeply, see things with objective consciousness and not the way you want to see.

Who would like to have a chat about this, you can contact me. Sharing thoughts will improve us both!
